Day 1 went pretty well, ate right, didn't even have any sweets (which is going to be harder than I anticipated by the way). And I read, only the "Fate of Africa" though, didn't pick up "Bauldolino." Strike one.
Wednesday night worked out for an 1 and 15 minutes. But man was I tired in the morning. I got through today (well yesterday) just fine with the wonderful help of coffee, but I stayed at work until 7 and when I got home I completely crashed. Now it's 4:30 am and I can't get back to sleep. So instead I've decided to look through the Obama Administration's 146 page budget. I'll blog more about it later (you all should check out my blog), but my initial thoughts are "Damn." I mean, it truly is massive for the first year, it seems like he's going for broke early. If you thought the fight over the stimulus package was wild- I've seen that even some Democrats are balking at a budget this audacious. If this budget stays largely in tact and it works- Obama has become freakin FDR at the beginning of his first term and will be remembered as such. If it doesn't- well the Republican brand is ruined so it wouldn't be devastating, but it will be a major hit.
